In 2009, Deepika was featured in action comedy movie Chandni Chowk to China opposite Akshay Kumar, the movie badly flopped at the box office. After that she was featured in Imtiaz Ali’s romance Love Aaj Kal grossed ₹1.2 billion worldwide and she was nominated for her second Best Actress nomination at Filmfare. Deepika Padukone had five released in 2010 but out of four movies, only one movie was hit. Again in 2011, she had four released but all were failed to create a magic on Boxoffice.
After two depressing years, she made her bang entry with a Cocktail movie which was released in 2012. This movie was proved to be a breakthrough for Padukone, critics and audience praised her performance in a movie. Deepika received several acting nominations for a Cocktail movie.

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Chennai Express were the highest-grossing Bollywood films of all time. Deepika’s acting in these movies are fabulous. In 2014, Deepika was featured in Kochadaiiyaan movie, which was an animation film in Tamil, which was shot using the latest technology of motion capture.
In 2015, Deepika was featured in Happy New Year movie which was directed by Farah Khan, the movie was the highest grossing movie of the year. In the same year, She appeared in Shoojit Sircar’s movie Piku and historical romance Bajirao Mastani. Deepika won her second Best Actress award at Filmfare for Piku movie. Piku movie was an amazing movie and every youth can relate to this movie. After back to back successful movies, she became one of the finest actresses of Bollywood and not only in India she made an identity in foreign also. In 20017, Deepika made her Hollywood debut with the movie xXx: Return of Xander Cage, the movie earned over US$330 million worldwide. Deepika essayed the lead role in the movie.
